Is this a monthly subscription or a one-off project?

Entirely one-off. You pay for the setup project and that's it — there are no recurring fees or ongoing contracts from Zenith Monitoring. Once your monitoring is configured and handed over, you own it completely.

Do I need to install anything on my servers?

For full server monitoring, a lightweight monitoring agent is installed on each host. It uses minimal resources and we handle the entire installation and configuration process as part of your package.

Are there any software or licensing costs?

No. The monitoring platform we use comes with a free edition that fully supports everything included in our Bronze, Silver, and Gold packages — there are no licence fees to pay. If you later decide you want to upgrade to the Enterprise edition for advanced features, that would be a separate cost paid directly to the software vendor, but it's entirely optional and not required to run your monitoring.

How long does a typical setup take?

Bronze setups typically complete within 1–2 business days. Silver projects usually take 3–5 days. Gold build-outs are scoped individually but typically run 1–2 weeks. We'll confirm the timeline in your proposal before any work begins.

What happens after the setup is complete?

You receive full documentation, a handover session, and everything needed to manage your monitoring going forward. Your dashboards, alerts, and configurations are yours — we don't retain access after handover unless you request it.

Can I upgrade my package later?

Yes. If your environment grows or your needs change, upgrading is treated as a new project. We'll build on top of your existing setup where possible to keep things efficient.

Do you store or retain any of our data?

No. We do not store, retain, or have ongoing access to your data after the project is complete. During the setup we work within your environment only — we don't copy data to external systems. Once handed over, your monitoring infrastructure and all associated data remains entirely under your control.

Where is the work carried out — on-site or remote?

All work is carried out remotely using secure, client-approved access methods such as VPN, jump hosts, or other controlled remote access routes. We work within your security policies, use least-privilege access, and only access systems required for the agreed scope.

What happens if I need extra work done after my project is complete?

No problem at all. Once your monitoring is set up and handed over, you can request additional work at any time — whether that's adding new hosts, setting up extra dashboards, or expanding into a new area of your environment. We'll scope it, confirm the cost in writing, and nothing starts until you approve it.

Do I need to approve extra work before it starts?

Always. Before any additional work begins we'll send you a clear summary of what's involved and the cost. Nothing is billed or started without your written approval — no surprises.
